Central City Backpackers has a central location but the hostel feels dated and parts of it are a bit run down. Facilities include the usual kitchen and TV lounge.
Price Dorm bed $20-22 Double/twin room $55-65 Prices are in local currency and are inclusive of all taxes.

If everything else is booked out in Auckland this is where you will probably end up. The airport help desk tried about 7 hostels and this was the only one available - that's how I ended up here. Don't plan on booking here if there is anything else available. it's not really bad; just not really set up for tourists. Feels like a hostel for locals searching for work.And the mattresses will give you a heart attack when you remove the sheets in the morning.
