BUG Review
The Brown Kiwi is a smaller hostel (sleeping only 32) near the café action on Ponsonby Road but with a quiet ambience. Facilities are basic, but there is a great little backyard with lots of hardy foliage, hardwood tables and benches, and the sound of a small bubbling pool. It’s idyllic. The kitchen is also fantastic, small but well-equipped and well laid-out. Bunks are notably sturdy. The staff are cool and friendly and the overall vibe is very appealing.
