Tauranga Central Backpackers is a good centrally located hostel. The common area has a pool table, table tennis, TV and Internet access. Most of the hostel is clean and well maintained; except for the sofas in the TV lounge which are old and worn.

Single room $35-40 ($34-39 VIP)
Double room $45-50 ($43-48 VIP)
