Sunrise Lodge is the closest backpackers hostel to East Cape (actually Eastender Farmstay is closer, but Sunrise Lodge is a shorter driving distance). It consists of a house by the sea with a small lounge and a tiny kitchen. It is kept clean and tidy, but it also feels a little dated.
