Not a nice place with even worse people running it, December 18, 2008
Reviewer: lemu from Tonga

Pros: Can't think of anything nice about the place
Cons: The people that run it and the fact that they charged people $100 a week to share a room with 12

I Know a number of the Tongans and other people that stayed at the lemon tree, not only were they treated like slaves by the man that brought them over to work in Blenheim they were treated poorly by the owners of the lemon tree, the fact you charged them $100 a week to share a room of 12 and must i add a tiny cold dump room, the Tongan people were mad that they had to stay there and had no choice to stay any where else, and one person that did not stay there because he was unhappy about sharing a room with 12 other people and paying $100 a week went and stayed some where else but still payed the $100 a week and when his boss found out he sent him back home to Tonga 2 days later. There were 30 people sharing 5 toilets and 3 showers, and what’s with the corrugated iron walls and concrete floors, it‘s a bathroom not a place you Slaughtering animals in, not to mention one tiny washing machine for 30 people and then they had to pay $2 to use it and there own washing powder, and you could only fit a couple of items in it. Also you abused a guest one day when they popped around and you said they aren't aloud visitors, guilty conscience if you ask me. The owners are greedy people that does't care about other people and whether they are happy or not, if they did you would not allow people to live under those conditions. I understand you have the place on the market and I say good job because as long as you are running it no one will want to stay there. I have Photo evidence of all that im saying and I will be taking serious action. People I will advise you to stay clear of this place.
