BUG Review
This big house near the sportsground north of town has been converted into a hostel. It is a really shoddy job with old mis-matched furniture including old ratty sofas and an assortment of limp mattresses that are well beyond their use-by date. Facilities include a fully-equipped kitchen, TV lounge and free laundry and there is also The Shed with table tennis.

Dorm bed $21 ($18 BBH)
Double room $50 ($44 BBH)

Prices are in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of all taxes.

Loved it here! It was a great place to stay to work - would recommend it to all., January 18, 2009
Reviewer: Jenny2009 from England, UK

Pros: The atmosphere, the people and the Shed!
Cons: The type of work - vineyard work! Hard but staying here made it bearable.

Whoever wrote that this place is shoddy is talking rubbish and clearly didn't stay here!! This backpackers is the best! If you're travelling and want to work along the way then Blenheim is a great place to come and Leeways is the only place to stay. It has everything that you need. I loved it there and would recommend it to anyone. It's not suitable for someone wanting to stay just a few nights as everyone staying works in the vineyards. I only intended to stay a few weeks but ended up staying a couple of months it was that great. It really felt like a home. I love Chrissy & Paul, the owners, they do so much for everyone.
