BUG Review
Gingerbread House is a small hostel in an inconvenient location, 2.3km south of the city centre. It has two dorms that get pretty cluttered, and a large well-equipped kitchen. The bathrooms are lovely and clean. It has a small outdoor garden area with hammocks where you can pitch a tent. The atmosphere here is a bit dull, although some may find it peaceful. They offer laundry, internet access and free use of bicycles. The reception staff are very friendly.

A very unique host (Alan) and it's the best if you seek something unique as well. quite a cosy atmosphere! that's where you go, if you are a real backpacker!

and it is not several kilometres out of the city centre. On what information did you guys from BUG gather that information? (just because it is not right next to the information centre???)

Older type of backpackers, 2 - 4 bed doems, 3 twin rooms.

Good usable kitchen, nice warm lounge with an open fire. Heaters in all the bed romms. No bunks and all hte beds are made up. Free pick up and drop off to the bus station.

Free BBQ most weekends.

Great place to unwind and cruise. Beds are comfortable and all are made up, even the 4 bed dorms, no bunks here! It's about 10 minutes walk from town, and because of this it's lovely and quiet. The free bikes are a bonus. People are nice and friendly too.
