BUG Review
High up a gravelly mountain road, Okopako Lodge rewards the drive with spectacular panoramic views. Accommodation is nothing fancy, but there’s a definite rustic charm throughout. Facilities include laundry, a kitchen and common room. There’s no TV, but that’s exactly the point of a place like this; the wraparound sundeck offers plenty to look at day or night. Okopako Lodge has 27 beds total, among share rooms, doubles, and three caravans; camping is also available. Farmhouse breakfasts and dinners are offered (but must be ordered in advance), and fresh produce from an organic garden is for sale.
