BUG Review
This YHA-owned hostel is a simple, clean place on a hill overlooking the city centre and the town basin. It’s not overflowing with charm, but is cosy and friendly with good bedding (nice new linen when we visited) and a TV room with a log fire. Other facilities include a decent kitchen, internet access and an outdoor deck with barbecue. It’s about a 15-minute walk into town. The YHA also provides maps and torches for a glow-worm walk backpackers can take from the hostel; it’s around 30 minutes each way.

Double/twin room $56-$66 ($50-$60 YHA/HI)
