BUG Review
This hostel consists of two large restored buildings. They have a fair amount of character, but inside are messy and poorly maintained. There is a cosy TV lounge with pool table, a big telly, and a large modern kitchen. The dorms are packed with up to 10 beds, which have thin mattresses. Bathrooms are also looking a little run-down. Still, the place has a buzzing, party-minded atmosphere and it is not far from the centre. They offer free pick-up.

lovely hostel, my 8 bed dorm had a tv and it was nice to chill out with other guests until we went out. No locks on any of the rooms though which was ok by me coded locks on external doors.

It's so close to the city but surrounded by beautiful trees (and birds!) and a magic garden. I chilled out by the fire and met some really chill people. The staff really make an effort to keep the place very clean and enjoyable.

There should be more places like this. The rooms and facilities are clean and very well maintained, especially considering how the old the building is (another plus in my book!). The best thing is the service - some of the friendliest staff I've had the pleasure of dealing with. I guess I'm biased because of my particular experience - I had lost my mobile phone and only realised when I was back home in Australia. I sent out a few frantic emails, and was extremely relieved when Manor House replied saying they had found my phone and would be happy to post it back to me. You can't get better service than that. Thanks guys!
