BUG Review
Alpine Lodge is a small hostel with a mellow atmosphere. There is a cosy lounge with books, guitars and a nice log fire; the small kitchen is well stocked and they offer internet access ($4 per hour), a ski storage room, a laundry and tour bookings. The dorms are a bit dull and some are quite messy. It is just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre.

Not a bad place considering the location. very close to town. Kitchens and bathrooms cleaned very well every day. Wicked video collection & saved me a fortune on activities.

Can say little about this place, other than the staff is awful and it's not a place worth bothering with.

Hostel cleaned every morning, so kitchen etc always clean and tidy. Only slight problem is if you want to access the kitchen when it is being cleaned (impossible). Small hostel, so people and staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. The hostel is extremely centrally located at onlly a 5 minute walk to town. No hills! Gorgeous open fire in the lounge, which is just what you want after a day's skiing.

Minor points which don't really impact much on your stay: Drying room stank because of all the damp ski gear; showers left wet by others and no way of mopping etc; slightly outdated for example the showers. Also some chance of being blocked in if you park next to the hostel, but having said that it is great there is some off-street parking.
